Mohammad Najjar and Asfandyar Khan, P.E., founded InWave Renewables with a shared goal: to make sustainable energy more accessible.
Both grew up in places where electricity was often unreliable or unavailable. Those experiences shaped their understanding of how energy access affects everyday life, businesses, and opportunity.
Their careers in renewable energy and construction led to executive and operational roles at large national EPC firms. They established InWave to bring that experience to a purpose that was personal to both of them.
Today, that purpose guides our work in solar and battery storage, combining practical engineering with close involvement throughout project delivery.
An engineer by training, Mohammad began his career in structural design before advancing to Director of Operations. He later established and led the power solutions division of a national design-build general contractor as Vice President, overseeing renewable energy projects nationwide from concept through commissioning.
At InWave, he brings that experience to project planning and delivery, aligning engineering decisions with budgets, schedules, and construction requirements from the start.
Asfandyar leads project delivery at InWave. A Professional Engineer licensed in 25 states, including Illinois, he brings more than 14 years of experience in engineering and construction.
He began in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design for commercial, institutional, and data center projects, then built and led the MEP engineering group at a national general contractor. As Director of Energy & Sustainability, he oversaw more than 10 MW of solar and battery storage construction.
